Kingdom of Saude Arabia

A class action lawsuit has been filed against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the General Organization of Social Insurance (GOSI), an agency of that government, on behalf of American expatriate workers who are seeking pension compensation from the Saudi government plan. The suit alleges that the workers were attracted to work in Saudi Arabia by favorable employment packages, including GOSI benefits and an annuity system based on an employee-employer contribution, however they are now being denied the funds. The suit claims unlawful expropriation of property rights; arbitrary and discriminatory treatment of foreign workers with regard to their property in Saudi Arabia; breach of contract and unjust enrichment. The plaintiffs are seeking class relief, injunctive relief and refunds from pensions from the Saudi Government and GOSI.
