Class action status is being sought in a lawsuit filed against Arcola Livestock Sales Ltd. on behalf of approximately 128 producers who claim that they were not paid for calves that were sold at the Arcola auction on Feb. 11, 2003. According to the suit, "(Arcola Livestock) sold cattle belonging to all these producers. The sales were conducted with the obvious expectation that they would be paid. That didn't occur." Also named in the suit are Arcola operators Frank Eaton, Chad Eaton, Judith Eaton and Shannon Eaton, as well as Frank Eaton Livestock Ltd., Gilroy Cattle Co., Jameson Livestock, Playtyme Holdings Ltd. and Sinclair Holdings Corp.
