A class action lawsuit has been filed against Domain Names Australia claiming that the company sent out more than 600,000 phony invoices to website owners and businesses. The suit was filed by Australia's website administrator .au Domain Administration on behalf of those who received the phony invoices. According to the complaint, the letters were business offers which appeared to be bills, and they confused many recipients who paid Domain Names believing they were simply renewing their current web address rather than purchasing a new one.
