A class action lawsuit has been filed against The Sharper Image in regards to the sale of Ionic Breeze air purifiers. The suit alleges that the product does not perform up to the companies claims that it will clean the air of airborne irritants, allergens and pollutants, eliminate odors and freshen the air, and the suit also claims that the product does not meet federal ozone emission regulations. The suit was filed on behalf of all those who purchased an Ionic Breeze air purifier from The Sharper Image in the past four years.

I purchased two Quadra Ionic Breezes with Ozone Guard from The Sharper Image on 03/29/2006. Both units began malfunctioning by the beginning of 2008, smelling strangely and making loud noises, and the plastic melted inside one of the units. I was told nothing could be done for me because the company was out of business. I spent $587.87 on these units and would like to be a part of any class action suit brought against them. I have a receipt for my purchases, order #1063146.

The purifier does not work as promised, and it creates a strange ozone smell which has caused asthma and coughing before in family members of my house. Because of this we have stopped using it for a while now.
