Korean Air Price Fixing Lawsuit

US consumers have filed a class action lawsuit against the airline for allegedly fixing the price on passenger and cargo flights. The lawsuit was filed in Seattle District Court after Korean Air agreed to pay the US Justice Department a $300 million fine for price fixing. The case was filed on behalf of all those who purchased a ticket on Korean Air from January 1, 2000 through July 16, 2006.

The carrier is accused of conspiring with competitors to raise fares on international cargo flights and raising fares on some passenger flights linking Korea and the US.
