State of North Carolina

North Carolina video poker machine owners, players and store owners have filed a class action lawsuit claiming North Carolina's new law banning the games is unconstitutional. The new laws note video poker machine operators and businesses must reduce the maximum number of machines to two by October 2006. By March 2007, they can have only one machine and a complete ban takes place next summer. The lawsuit claims the new law is unconstitutional as hundreds of video poker machine owners have spent million of dollars investing in the machines.
