Another lawsuit has been filed against Philip Morris USA, alleging the company mislead smokers to believe that their light-brand cigarettes were less harmful than the full-flavored brands. The suit, which is seeking class action status, was filed in Illinois and is nearly identical to another suit filed in Illinois which resulted in a $10.1 billion dollar verdict against the company, with the only difference between the suits being the cigarette brands which are listed, with this suit including more than twenty brands.
