North American Van Lines

The Owner Operator Independent Drivers Association and six of its members have filed a class action against the motor carrier company. On behalf of all owner operators moving freight under North American's federal operating authority, the class action is claiming Van Lines unlawfully reduced the revenue base from shipments and did not provide drivers with required information and documentation to allow them to check the accuracy of amounts paid to them for their services. The complaint also alleges that North American Van Line violated escrow provisions of the federal leasing regulations by confiscating driver credits if the credit was not offset within 30 days.
