Dating Site Settles Class Action for $1.5 Million
This is a settlement for the Antitrust lawsuit.
The internet dating site True.com has agreed to pay $1.5 million in refunds to settle a class action lawsuit brought by people who joined the site.
The customers alleged in their 2007 suit that they were incorrectly charged membership fees after they had cancelled their accounts, or after they had accidentally clicked on links.
The settlement also stipulates that True.com change its auto-subscription system, so that future clients will not be accidentally charged.
