A class action lawsuit was filed against the insurance company alleging racial discrimination toward African American customers. The case was filed on behalf of nearly 2,000 African American policy holders who were allegedly charged higher premiums for burial insurance compared to white customers. A federal judge has approved a $6 million class action settlement. (Apr-06-06)
