Salon Workers Reach Settlement in California Labor Law Class Action

This is a settlement for the California Employment lawsuit.

Los Angeles, CA: A California labor law and employment class action lawsuit filed by current and former employees of Natalie Salons has reached a potential settlement of $750,000.

In their lawsuit, the 125 plaintiffs alleged the nail and beauty chain owned by Natalie Phan and Bill Dong, failed to provide overtime pay or meal breaks for its employees, and also confiscated a portion of the tips, in violation of California labor laws.

The lawsuit also claimed that the five salons, all located in southern California, "unlawfully deducted amounts from employee wages for minor infractions like dropping nail polish."

The settlement is under review by the class.
