The US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit has granted the company the opportunity to file an appeal against certification in the largest class action lawsuit ever to be certified against a private employer. The suit was filed on behalf of 1.6 million former and current female employees of Wal-Mart and subsidiary Sam's Club.
