ADT Security Services

A lawsuit has been filed and is seeking class action status against Tyco's security company alleging its slow response time has led burglars to target homes in the Los Angeles suburb of Bel-Air. The lawsuit was filed in Los Angeles Superior Court and claims ADT Security Services fails to respond to house alarms within a reasonable time.

One couple said the company took nearly two hours to respond to a burglary at their Bel-Air mansion. They are seeking a refund the $25,000 they spent installing the alarm as well as compensatory and punitive damages. The couple claims ADT Security Services told them it maintained a 24-hour patrol in the neighborhood, yet took over one hour and 45 minutes to respond to their alarm.

We have now installed a Brinks system. A police report has been filed.

No items were stolen from our home, but the sense of security I had with having a security system is gone. I can not trust that it will work if I need them. I should not have to have fear being in my own home with an unreliable system. ADT give you a false sense of security.
