Lucent Technologies

Alcatel and Lucent Technologies announced in April that they agreed to merge into a single company that would have about $25 billion in annual revenue. The stocks of both companies have fallen since the deal was announced, and some investment firms have spoken out against the merger. Shareholders have filed a proposed class action lawsuit against Lucent for allegedly subverting the interests of shareholders and other public stockholders.
