Australian Federal Government

Former Royal Australian Air Force maintenance workers have launched a class action lawsuit against the Australian Federal Government after allegedly being poisoned while cleaning F-111 fuel tanks. The class is seeking compensation for chemical exposure conditions ranging from cancer to respiratory problems. The suit was filed in Brisbane Supreme Court on behalf of 400 employees who worked at the Amberley base, west of Brisbane, between 1973 and 1989.
