Farmers in Minnesota, Montana and North Dakota have filed a class action suit against BASF Corp., alleging the chemical company marketed herbicides fraudulently. Poast and Poast Plus are the same products but sold at two different prices.
The suit claims that BASF intended to charge premium prices of Poast Plus to "minor crop" farmers while pricing it lower in the soybean market, which has also exploited the federal labeling process. The class action suit involves farmers nationwide.
