The parents of a boy who developed respiratory problems while attending Hilton Head Elementary and Hilton Head Middle school have filed a lawsuit against the district and are seeking class action status. The lawsuit claims substantial design and construction defects created toxic mold and fungus at the schools which lead to their son's health problems.
