Class action status is being sought for a lawsuit filed against the Greenville Comfort Inn's parent company Choice Hotels International, and the motel's owner, Bijay Patel. The suit was filed by guests who were injured in a fire at the motel, and alleges that the fire was partially due to inadequate security, and partially due to the use of building materials that were not fire resistant.
