General Motors

A $1 billion dollar class action lawsuit has been filed against General Motors on behalf of Florida and Michigan residents. The suit claims that the company sold the plaintiffs high-end and expensive trucks which contained noisy and defective engines which made the trucks unable to be used or sold. The company's Technical Service Bulletins cite the problems predominately in the 3.1, 4.8, 5.3 and 6.0 liter engines.

My 2009 Pontiac G8 GT has the six (6) liter L76 truck engine and at 52K miles required major engine repairs, including; new cam shaft, new cam shaft bearing, new hydraulic lifters, oil pump, seals and gaskets. Out of pocket expense was over $3000.00.
