Bought a brand new Milwaukee 8 last year £24500 and after 5 months and only 2400 k on the clock notices chrome pealing on the edge of the wheels
Took back to dealer and they investigated, took pictures and sent to Harley.
They said i had cleaned the bike wrong funny has i had never got it wet and all i had done was waxed the bike once a month.
I had complained and taken legal advice but not sure how to proceed as they will not cover it, to my mind it was a factory default which they would cover according to there two year factory warranty but in this case they are trying to blame me.
Can any one help or has had this problem
thanks
moxy

2016 CVO Limited, Chrome is blistering on the primary casing. I paid $3000.00 for the ESP coverage for this bike and I get told not only from the local dealer and ESP sorry not covered. If this is the type of answers and excuses that Harley hangs their hat on dealing with their defective processing of metal finished parts then I for one see a different brand in my future. The bike is kept inside and never ridding in the rain. Always polished and looking great. All you get from ESP or the dealer is the attitude " we got your money now its your problem"..

a month old 2019 harley sportster forty-eight 241 miles. Bought harley key chain very small. garage kept and covered in beautiful condition. I noticed severe damage to my right valve cover. .pitting and wear and didnt understand what was wrong. took it to my dealer most service guys didnt know or salesmen could understand what happened. Then main service guy said let me see your chain I gave it to him and he said that caused it. I rode the next day I got the key chain only 25 miles and did that much damage there is a serious problem with the materials being used. I took a picture and am requesting they give me parts back. to the point i am looking at close to 300.00 repair bill for a bike that I just bought. And if key chains you sell causes damage like that there is a serious issue also. I still cannot imagine that happened but what else can I do? Im a 100% disabled veteran and enjoy my little riding I can. I love my bike.

Estimate to repair to original condition is >$10,000. HD denies responsibility. Independent lab provided lengthy test results indicating that problem is created by HD and they should be responsible for damages.

Peeling and blistering Chrome is a distraction to a $30,000 motorcycle, has always been garage kept and taken care of by meticulous owner, dealer says its out of warranty, too bad.
