A class action lawsuit has been filed on behalf of 15,000 federal civilian employees from Hawaii and Alaska. The lawsuit claims violations of the constitution by excluding residents from the two states from the federal locality pay law. All other 48 states were granted a pay adjustment of 12% to 26%.
