Home Depot

Class action status is being sought in a lawsuit filed against Home Depot on behalf of more than 500 current and former assistant managers. The suit alleges that the company violated federal and state employment laws and claims that it unfairly denied overtime pay and pension benefits to the plaintiffs by improperly classifying them as managers. According to an attorney for the plaintiffs, "These men and women have been given the phony title of ´assistant store manager,´ but in fact have primarily been performing the work of hourly employees and are, therefore, entitled to overtime pay."

90 % of the time we were told to get things done week after week I worked many more hours than required because we were short staffed while week after week the store manager left on time. Also, when I became a manager forget about lunch or dinner I was constantly eating on the run.
