Its Just Lunch lawsuitConsumers' complaints so far include inflating and misrepresenting the number of current and available members in its databases, promising its clients dates with "busy professionals" but instead matching them with non-professionals, claiming to make matches through personalized and selective process when they do not, and inflating the number of success stories and marriages that resulted from their service.

Dollars Drained Through Deceptive Dating Service
It didn't take long for Daryl, who signed up for "It's Just Lunch" matchmaking service, to realize it's just a way to drain him of several hundred dollars. He felt totally mislead and deceived by what was promised to him, and what was actually delivered. Deceptive business practices are governed by both Federal and State laws and can vary from one state to another.

Hello there,
I signed up with it’s just lunch on January 30th and was reassured that they had a large “pool of candidates.”
I was pressured to sign the contract during our phone conversation without being provided time to actually read the terms and conditions of the contract. That alone is bad business practices.
I was provided with one date in which the gentleman was not nothing like the description provided, not to mention they decided to leave some ‘details’ out knowing that I would have declined.
I would like a full refund. They charged me $3000.00 for a service that isn’t really worth it and for failing to provide the accurate information in terms of who they actually are.

Please help me out if you can
Thank you
Angela

I was unaware that this was a dating scam and want a refund! It's terrible for people to take advantage of singles. This is the worst company ever.

Signed up at Denver office was told they would match me with guys in Colorado Springs. Now they say they can not guarantee guy in Colorado Springs where I live. The guys were not white collar. The last guy had a dirty tee dirty jeans and dirty work boots.

What a rip off no refunds. I said I did not want to date any one in Denver. The said they would match me to who they wanted and it would count against my 16 dates.

I received a letter in the mail regarding the IJL law suite. I understand I am owed a date from IJL to make up for their errors. How do I go about this without the letter I was sent? I misplaced it. Thank you,
Kristina

I am a 56 year old widow. I feel that I am being deceived and lied to. Do not get a word in every time I call and they tell I just have to go on another date. I have never felt so betrayed and disgusted with a company that just does not have the ethics and know how. They think if it is walking and or breathing it is good enough, but it is not for me.

I also find it very discomforting that the woman who interviewed me and acted like she "understood" me is not my primary contact or who is matching me. I tried many many times to speak with her and she would not return my calls. We even made an appointment to speak on the phone and she was "busy" when I called an hour after our scheduled time to speak. Also, my second date fit my criteria but was not interested, then my third date was so far off the mark - they said it was supposed to get closer with each match! I had one date cancel on me twice and then not show for the third scheduling. There was no apology or acknowledgement of this from IJL. I wasted a Friday night for a no show!
