Kryptonite and Ingersoll-Rand

A class action lawsuit has been filed against Kryptonite and Ingersoll-Rand on behalf of consumers who purchased bicycle or tool locks that have cylindrical lock mechanisms during the past four years. The suit alleges that the locks are defective as they can be easily opened using deformable plastic tubes, such as Bic pen barrels, and that the defendants may have been aware of this problem from as early as 1992. The suit is seeking restitution and replacements for the defective locks.
