This system was installed in Nov. 1998. In 2004 the air inducer had to be replaced to due a bearing failure. Cost of repair was $700. In Nov. 2009 leaks were detected at the pipe to boiler connections. No repair is possible. The technician stated that the leaks had been occurring for "quite some time". The authorized Lennox dealer was called originally for a cycling problem with the system. The cost to repair this was $628.

Numerous part failures including 5 circulators, cracked internal pipe, a carbon monoxide leak, repeated water leaks, and now a natural gas leak. I've reached out to Lennox and the servicing company, but keep getting finger pointing with no real solutions to the problem.

Over the last 4 years we have spent in excess of $4500 trying to keep this system going, over $2000 in the last year. Have been advised by HVAC engineers that the installation was sub standard, and the system is poorly designed and manufactured. There are NO spares left for this system.

Repairs:
replaced circulating pump several times ($300 each time)
and a vent pump twice ($600 each time)
replaced igniter a coupld of times ($150 each time)
burner system died and we replaced the whole system with conventional furnace and hot water heater ($6500)
We tried several times to access the warrantly, but Lennox would never agree to help us.

Throughout the years I lived in the house with this system, every winter, we had to suffer at least a few days without heat and hot water, not to mention the aggravation of having to respond to the problem and get the system repaired. When we recently replaced the entire system, we had to go 5 days without hot water. We have a family of six, so this created significant inconvenience for two working adults and 4 school children.

We have spent several dollars in repairs to the system. No one around here wants to even touch the Lennox Complete Heat system. We continue to replace parts in hope to fix it. The ignitor does not light and it sounds like our house is going to blow up when it tries. Nine times out of ten we have no hot water or heat because the system does not work properly. We have been having issues with this system since January of 2000. The company replaced it at that time and now refuses to return phone calls on the second one.
