Anaheim, CA

A class action lawsuit has been filed against the city for allegedly neglecting to maintain a hotel rental property. Poor maintenance and upkeep allegedly lead to injuries and overpayment of rent, annoyance, discomfort and irritation. The lawsuit was filed on behalf of more than 500 current and former residents of the Lincoln Inn.

The city purchased the building in 2006 which is set to be knocked down on April 30, 2008 to put up affordable housing. The city was in the process of moving residents out in preparation for demolishing the building, therefore putting money into improving it would have been unwise.
