Made-Rite Sandwich Co. recalls packaged sandwiches



Approximately 27,000 chicken and tuna salad sandwiches made by Tennessee -based Made-Rite Sandwich Co. have been recalled because the celery in the packaged sandwiches was not properly processed and may potentially contain harmful bacteria.

The sandwiches were sold in triangular clear plastic containers using the brand names Great American Deli, Granny Green and Lil' Cindy's and were sold in Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Georgia, Arkansas, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana and Michigan.

The sandwiches have the following code dates: tuna salad 122, tuna salad 124, tuna salad 130, chicken salad 118, chicken salad 122, chicken salad 124 and chicken salad 129. Consumers are advised to return the sandwiches to the place of purchase for a full refund. For more information call (423) 648-6510.
