Glencrest Resources

A lawsuit has been filed and is seeking class action status against the developer for allegedly failing to pay landowners lease bonuses. The suit claims developer Leonard Briscoe Sr. and his company, Glencrest Resources, promised landowners $3,000 bonuses within 45 days of signing leases to allow drilling on their land, and that drilling would be done by April, 2007. The lawsuit claims wells have not been drilled and bonuses have not been paid.

The lawsuit was filed on behalf of nearly 2,500 landowners from Mansfield, Forest Hill, and Fort Worth, TX who could be involved in the mineral rights leasing dispute.

Glencrest Resources has filed 100 mineral rights leases in Tarrant County, and Briscoe has signed about 3,000 leases.
