A class action lawsuit has been filed against Palm Beach county behalf of Palm Beach County registered voters with disabilities alleging that when Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections, Theresa LePore, refused to provide accessible voting machines at precincts to persons with disabilities and failed to give proper notice of alternative polling places, she violated the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Rehabilitation Act and Florida Law.

The Plaintiffs were faced with inaccessible voting machines and untrained poll workers at the November 5, 2002 Presidential elections. LePore's office stated that the devices were not available because it would "slow things down too much."
