General Motors and Alcoa

A class action lawsuit has been filed against the companies on behalf of Mohawk Indians residing near Massena. The class claims GM and Alcoa negligently disposed PCBs at Massena facilities, contaminating the air, surface water, ground water, sediments, soil, fish, and wildlife. Mohawks allege they have been exposed to the PCBs via contaminated fish and consumption of breast milk from mothers who were exposed.
