Rainbow Play Systems Inc. recalls swing seats



Approximately 18,400 sling swing seats have been recalled after the manufacturer, Rainbow Play Systems Inc., received many reports of swing seats breaking in half. Users could fall and the swing sets could potentially cause serious injury.

The seats, with the underside reading "Warning: Improper installation, maintenance, vandalism, or misuse can lead to serious injury," were sold as a part of Carnival, Sunshine and Rainbow series swing set structures. The seats are about 25 inches in length and were sold in red, yellow, blue and green with 64-inch yellow or green dipped chains. The seats have pointed ends with three black dots and black grommets.The swing sets were sold at Rainbow dealers and distributors throughout the U.S. from July 2004 through February 2005.
