Rocephin

The US FDA warned that Roche's Rocephin injection has serious risks to newborn babies, including death. When the antibiotic is combined with calcium or calcium-containing products, Rocephin can lead to fatal reactions in the lungs and kidneys of newborns. Roche sent doctors a letter on the danger of administering calcium within 48 hours of using Rocephin after reports of an unspecified number of deaths of both premature and full-term babies.

I have received a rocephin injection when I had a prostate biopsy. Immedietly terrible pain shot through me. They told me the pain would go away in a few days that was July 12th 2016 and now it is April 4th and I still have the pain I contacted the doctor about this way before today and they just told me to ice it. It is still causing complecations. I can't sleep at night and have to get up. If I do yard work or work on the car I have terrible pain later. I can't even sit very long to watch a movie. I have to get up and move around.

I received a Rocephin shot along with a Depomedral shot for loss voice. Within a few hours, i started coughing. After not being able to get rid of cough, i researched Rocephin and found out that 100 % of the people who take less than 30 days have a cough as a side effect. The cough mimics a bronchitis cough; however, lungs and blood work are clear. The cough is not a result of bacteria or viral infection; it is a side effect of the medicine.
