Polar Beverages Inc. and In Zone Brands Inc.

A class action lawsuit has been filed on behalf of consumers in Massachusetts and Florida against the soft drink makers for allegedly selling products that could contain cancer causing benzene. The lawsuit claims Polar and In Zone beverages have a tendency to contain benzene at levels exceeding the federal safety limit for drinking water. According to the suit, Zone beverages come in containers shaped like action figures, cartoon characters or others that are designed to appeal to children.
