Carleton Farms Sumpter Landfill Odor

A class action lawsuit filed in a county circuit court alleges Carleton Farms landfill in Canada caused noxious odors from waste to residents in nearby Sumpter. Approximately 10 to 20 percent of the one million tons of waste received by the landfill is sewage sludge. The suit claims the fumes interfere with residents' ability to use and enjoy their property.
