A shareholder lawsuit has been filed and is seeking class action status alleging securities law violations related to backdated stock options. The lawsuit claims certain current and prior officers and directors of the chipmaker manipulated prices of stock options in violation of the company's policies and securities law. Trident is set to restate results for the periods between 1994 and 2006 to correct measurement dates for stock option accounting.
