A class action lawsuit has been filed by eight University of California students against the University claiming a breach of contract. The suit claims that by failing to give sufficient notice of fee increases for students enrolled in spring and summer terms, the school breached their contract with these students. The suit is also seeking a preliminary injunction to prevent the university from charging graduate students enrolled before December 2002 for increased fees until the case has been settled.
