A class action lawsuit has been filed against three clerks and all 29 judges in Utah's 3rd District Court, which covers Salt Lake, Summit and Tooele counties. The suit alleges that the court's current search warrant policy violates the constitution and leaves too much room for abuses, and the suit therefore seeks to expand public access to the justification police use to search a person's property.
