Approximately 6,000 cordless push button toy telephones made by Marvel Education Co have been recalled.

According to the [The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission], the wooden phones pose a safety risk: wooden push buttons on the phone can detach and cause a young child to choke.

The phones were sold to major school supply distributors, such as Kaplan and Ajax School Office Source, for about $20 each, from January 2004 through February 2006.
