A few days ago I started receiving MANY MANY phone calls and texts about property inquiries that I did not make. Interesting one was in Portland, OR and another in Chicago.

The Chicago inquiry apparently used my email address and the Portland ones used my phone number.

I think Zillow is generating FAKE LEADS with whatever info they can find about people.

IT IS A SCAM , pure and simple.

I am a realtor in FL. it is my belief that Zillow is praying on Realtors as well. They call realtors asking them to join up for "seller leads" promising that the agents will receive a guaranteed amount of calls from people wanting to "sell" their home or find out their homes "value". Zillow posts misleading advertisements telling home owners to fill out a form on line to find out a quick "estimate" of their homes worth--- and promises Realtors and Agents who sign up that they will get these calls. Zillow does NOT verify the homeowners information at all, they're is no effort form zillow to send SMS verification codes to the homes owners to make sure the phone numbers are correct at all--- 99% of all the calls are bogus and phone numbers do not exist when the agent tried to respond to the leads.. Also, the Zillow CSR SPECIFICALLY told me when I signed up that I could exit at ANY TIME without any charges. I am not finding out form other realtors that Zillow charges an exit fee and can bill you for it. Zillow is operating in a FRAUDULENT manner and praying on agents. Their sales team blatantly lied to me and IMO Zillow deserves to be sued and return the money to the realtors. They do not required to provide any proof that any of the leads are legitimate and are under NO liability to do so?. This is unlawful and this needs to be looked into immediately.
