AOL and CompuServe

Ohio residents filed a class action lawsuit against the internet service provider for allegedly charging inappropriate fees to their accounts. AOL proceeded with improper billing and failed to honor customers' requests to cancel their subscriptions. AOL has agreed to give Ohio residents a full refund as well as pay $75,000 to the Attorney General's Office for its costs associated with this lawsuit and the mediation of consumer complaints.
