AT&T Reaches Preliminary Settlement Over Internet Usage Taxes

This is a settlement for the Media/Telecom lawsuit.

Houston, TX: AT&T has reportedly reached a tentative settlement of the class action brought by customers who allege that internet taxes charged by the wireless service provider violated the internet tax act

AT&T sent out text messages to customers affected early in the week, although no word on how much any refunds offered may be.

AT&T maintains that the taxes are legal, and denied any wrongdoing. The settlement is scheduled for court approval in March, 2011.
