Jefferson Parish Class Action Dismissed



New Orleans, LA: (Apr-03-07) People tried to file a class action lawsuit against Jefferson Parish for allegedly violating the constitutional right to travel. The lawsuit claimed the parish did not allow people to cross the Mississippi River Bridge when trying to escape New Orleans in the days following Hurricane Katrina. US District Judge Mary Ann Vial Lemmon dismissed the case noting no constitutional rights were violated. [NOLA NEWS: BRIDGE CROSSING]
