An $83 million dollar verdict has been reached in the class action lawsuit filed against Casden Properties Inc. of Los Angeles, a unit of Denver-based REIT Apartment Investment & Management Co. The suit was filed in 1998 by investors who alleged that the company had made misleading and illegal statements in regards to a transfer of ownership of 98 apartment property partnerships.
