Cigarette Makers.

A $200 million settlement has been reached in the class action lawsuit filed against Osteen, Philip Morris USA, Lorillard, Brown & Williamson and several other cigarette manufacturers. The suit was filed on behalf of approximately 500,000 tobacco growers who alleged that the companies had conspired to fix bids at tobacco auctions. R.J. Reynolds Tobacco was not included in the settlement, and the case against the company will go to trial in April. (Oct-02-03)
