Investors tried to file a class action lawsuit against the company for allegedly breaching its fiduciary duties in hiring and subsequently firing former president Michael Ovitz with a $140 million severance package. Mr. Ovitz only worked 14 months before he was fired in December 1996. A Delaware court judge sided with Disney and dismissed the case. (Aug-10-05)
