A settlement has been reached in the discrimination class action lawsuit filed on behalf of residents who left the Fairwood Homes development after Jan. 1, 2001. The suit alleged that the defendants had discriminated against the predominantly black community, and that the plaintiffs were entitled to federal relocation benefits.
