$1.8 Million Awarded in Junk Faxes Class Action
A settlement of $1.8 million has been reached in the class action lawsuit concerning 'junk faxes'. The settlement is reportedly the largest for a telemarketing case in Massachusetts, where the case was brought.The suit was filed in 2002 by Matthew P. McCue, a Framingham-based attorney. Lawyers for the plaintiffs are now searching for potentially thousands people who received 'junk faxes' and are entitled to receive settlements of $1500 per person.
