St. Paul City Class Action Dismissed

Several black business owners filed a lawsuit against the city's minority contracting program. A Pioneer Press analysis found that minority firms last year obtained less then 1% of the contracts issued by the city or by developers doing business with the city. After 10 months of litigation, a U.S. District Chief Judge dismissed the suit. The minority business owners intend to file it again shortly. (Oct-19-05) [TWIN CITIES PIONEER PRESS]
