A $5.75 million settlement has been reached in the class action lawsuit filed on behalf of farmer-shareholders who sued over the $615 million sale of their ethanol and corn-syrup business to Archer Daniels Midland of Decatur, Ill. The suit alleged breach of fiduciary duties, and claimed that the defendants had cheated shareholders by inaccurately portraying the market outlook for ethanol and high-fructose corn syrup.
