Although the brokerage denied defrauding investors and did not admit to any wrongdoing, they have agreed to pay shareholders a $41.5 million settlement. Two class action lawsuits were filed against Morgan Stanley Senior Loan Fund for allegedly overvaluing investor's assets. Morgan Stanley will pay $10 million and Van Kampen Prime Rate Income Trust agreed to pay $31.5 million of the securities fraud settlement. (Apr-21-05)
